Keynote Speaker Denise Leigh

Denise Leigh Denise Leigh has spent her career empowering young people as a high school business education teacher for 28 years in rural Pennsylvania. Denise has taught 12 different business education classes over the years from Career Exploratory to Accounting, Computer Applications, and Entrepreneurship.  She is also a certified art teacher and enjoys using that talent to elevate her learners through an immersive instructional strategy where creativity and great, rich business education content is joined to provide a truly memorable and meaningful learning experience for her students.

Denise earned her Leaders of Learning Certification through Harvard University in 2023.  She is a 2022 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year Finalist with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and active member of NNSTOY, the National Network of State Teachers of the Year.  She enjoys speaking at conferences with NNSTOY members to pre-service teachers to empower and motivate them as well as traveling through the U.S. to learn and grow with other business education teachers doing keynotes and sessions where she shares her engaging instructional strategies and love for teaching and learning.

Welcome & Networking Presenter Kyleigh Kumm

Kyleigh Kumm
Kyleigh Kumm is a STEM educator extraordinaire. Her current role includes serving the Harlan Community School District as a technology coach and high school STEM/Computer Science teacher. She is passionate about sparking curiosity and igniting a love for STEM subjects in young minds. With 9 years of experience as a STEM teacher, business teacher, and instructional coach, she’s had the privilege of nurturing the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. Kyleigh’s academic journey, combined with her real-world experience in business and education, has equipped her with a deep understanding of the ability to convey complex concepts in an engaging and relatable way. As a lifelong learner, Kyleigh began her post-secondary education at Wayne State College with a BMIT endorsement. Since, she has completed her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction – Business Emphasis, her MBA, and an Educational Leadership Master’s for 7-12. She will receive a 7-12 Computer Science Endorsement from UNI by December 2025. Beyond the classroom, Kyleigh serves as a member of many organizations, including: NETA, ISTE, ITEC, CSTA, and NBEA. Kyleigh is enthusiastic about technology integration in the classroom, collaborating with like-minded individuals, and presenting real-world applications to her students. She is passionate about sharing computer science, and implemented a coding club using Google CS First and a FIRST robotics team. She serves as the Code.org Facilitator for CSD in Nebraska, and was the NETA “Excellence in Teaching with Technology” recipient in 2018. Her credentials include being a Google Certified Trainer, Apple Teacher, and Apple Learning Coach. Kyleigh has served the technology community as a board member for NETA and is currently President Elect.
